Looking forward to dinner tonight...even if I have to brave the cold to get there!
Did we decide on a start time? Wiki still lists 6:30 or 7:00 (TBD)

Hi all,
My deepest apologies. I am 'under the weather' and I will not be able to join you all today (did not get 'clearance'). So, please have a drink for me as well, and be nice to our guest of honor from the old continent

Another very successful Chicago DO.
Great food and great company.
Nice to see everyone again, as well as meet some new friends from France.
Until next time.....Safe travels.

quite a meal, quite a group, great to have a couple of attendees from Alsace.
Lots of fun, glad folks were able to make it out!
Side note: I'm definitely suffering a bit from being out a bit later than normal but the 1st set at the Green Mill was amazing, two songs in particular were world class jazz, the Patricia Barber quartet was on fire. She even sang "girl from ipanema" in Portuguese.
A clip from her & the quartet at Newport some years ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r5XBxpQMoFg
edited to add: she just got back to me via email as I had asked her for the set list, bummer for me as she doesn't keep track of what she's played, so I guess I'll just have to come back out and exclaim, that's the one you played before!

It sounds like you all had fun, and few even got extra bonuses :-)
Still not allowed to travel, or taste the best of Alsac, but maybe next time
