MELbourne dinner August 29-Sept 1
Any MEL FTers interested in getting together for dinner or something? I'm going to be in MEL August 29-Sept 1 and it is always great to meet folks.

Aust Freq Flyer MEL is a very social group. Many are on FT, but some have different screen names. You would be welcome to join an AFF dinner, etc
Keep a look out in http://www.australianfrequentflyer.c...social-events/ (but the layout is very confusing and poorly managed)

SQ421 has alerted me to this thread.
I am indeed MEL based, but in true FT style, am not actually in MEL that much. Surprisingly I will be in Melbourne at the end of this week, but very busy at work until Friday night.
I am skiing on Saturday in the Victorian Alps. You're welcome to join if you enjoy very early morning wake up calls and dry Australian humour.
Currently free Sunday at this stage if you wanted to do lunch or dinner in the city.

I can hardly claim to be an expert on Melbourne after two very brief visits, but I was fortunate enough to have dinner with a mix of FTers and AFFers at the same place (the Blue Train) after OzFest 11 about three months ago. I recommend both the company and the venue highly. I'm just sorry I'll be on the other side of the world next week.

Thanks again for a great mini Do and teaching us about the local animals and who is on your 5 dollar bill
At the Tiger Air terminal waiting for flight, plenty of construction nearby, more budget airlines moving here I guess
See u all in London
