San Diego Area Sunday Brunch (North County Coastal Leucadia): August 31, 12 Noon

It's time for another San Diego area get-together before the summer is gone. If you can, please join us.

I realize that a Sunday on a three-day holiday weekend means some regulars will be out of town, but hopefully others will be around and be able to join us, and some out of towners may be around.

The place:
Le Papagayo
1002 N Coast Highway 101
Leucadia, CA 92024
760.944.8252

http://lepapagayoleucadia.com

Date and Time:
Sunday 31 August 2014 at 12:00 Noon
(The Sunday of Labor Day weekend)

Notes:

They have a very small lot. parking is available along Coast Highway and the side streets. The side street before you reach the restaurant is often good.

They used be on iDine, but I fear they have dropped out.
We are in:

anabolism

skylane
fet+1
kirax2
asquare
Upfronter
wrxmom
Two locals who are new to travel and aren't yet on FT

Sure! If I can earn some miles, count me in! This place is on iDine, right?

Sorry, my last day in SD for the summer is this Sunday, otherwise I'd be down. Have fun.

They used to be on iDine (which is why they were our favorite in that area, along with the tasty food), but when I looked for them last night they didn't show up.

On their website, they show breakfast and lunch menus. Do you know what's available at noon on a Sunday? I'm toying with the idea of a drive down, but breakfast looks utterly hopeless for a strict vegetarian; the lunch menu might work (without causing a big fuss). I'm not really pretty easy-going about it, but I hate to make anyone uncomfortable...making a fuss or sitting around not eating.

I'm also curious what the menu will be for noon on Sunday. I didn't see any mention of a brunch menu. I'm up for whatever, but If I was a strict vegetarian I'd probably just call the restaurant. I bet they'd be able to accommodate a vegetarian without too much fuss.

I spoke with the owner when I set it up, and he confirmed for me that the lunch menu is available, and also indicated they would be flexible if people had special requests. One of the reasons we selected this restaurant is that we're fond of their lunch menu. 365RoadWarrior please don't worry; accomodating dietary restrictions is normal for a restaurant and I'm sure wouldn't make any of us uncomfortable (we want you to be comfortable).

Regrets. Returning from Peru that day and can't make it fit. Perhaps the next....
