Had the opportunity to do a RTW with Air New Zealand in December 2012.

LIS - LHR - HKG - AKL - CHC - SFO - LAX - LHR - LIS

Had 4x 777-300 ER Flights on ANZ (the shortest being 10hrs) but had a blast

I joined the club in 2008:

MUC LH NRT
NRT NZ CHC
CHC NZ X/AKL NZ APW
APW NZ LAX
LAX LH MUC

All in whY - great deal, this RTW ticket was actually cheaper than a R/T MUC-AKL/CHC.

Only one notable hotel on this trip:
The Coconuts Beach Club in Samoa (http://www.cbcsamoa.com/) - awesome place!

And have done a IAD-JFK-FRA-SIN-NRT-IAD.

Once. HSV-DFW-FRA-BKK, BKK-NRT-DFW-HSV.

The original plan was HSV-DFW-NRT-BKK and back.

This was during the ice storm that blew ORD completely off the map a few years ago, and messed DFW up pretty good for a few days. The AA phone center tried to tell me the only way I could do it was wait a day and then fly out via ORD. (They hadn't gotten the memo that ORD no longer existed.) The counter agent at the airport, upon hearing that story, punched a few buttons, then handed me tickets to FRA, 12-hour layover in FRA, and then FRA-BKK on TG in J. Not bad.

Flying over Afghanistan and Pakistan was an interesting feeling.

And then, sitting in the (now-closed) FRA Admirals Club, reading the announcement that ORD was still closed, and all flights cancelled, including the flight the AA phone center people tried to tell me I had to take, just iced the cake.

RTW on Aeroplan
One RTW earlier this year on Aeroplan points, and not necessarily by choice, but it still qualifies!

Planned:
AC: YYZ - LHR ==> SQ: LHR - SIN
AirAsia side trip: SIN - CGK o/j BDO - DPS - SIN
SQ: SIN - NRT
OZ: NRT - ICN
AC: ICN - YVR - YYZ

But after a snafu delay due to de-icing ex-YYZ:
Actual:
AC: YYZ - LHR (overnight delay)
LH: LHR - FRA (re-booked and spent 6 hrs in MLL in FRA!)
SQ: FRA - SIN (also re-booked, but lost luggage due to delay!) (but actually received miles on the re-booked legs to qualify for A*50K on this reward itinerary!)
AirAsia: SIN - CGK (lost first leg due to delay, so re-purchased) o/j BDO - DPS - SIN
SQ: SIN - NRT (arrived too early in the morning, nothing to do!)
OZ: NRT - ICN (upgraded! but the flight was too short!)
AC: (wife got sick, re-booked to return home early) ICN - YVR - YYZ

So a "simple honeymoon" became quite the adventure! Especially with lost luggage over 2 distinct seasons!

Do it once a year for work in paid J:

ELP-DFW-MAD-VLC-MAD-LHR-BOM-HKG-ORD-DFW-ELP (now it will be AA from HKG-DFW)

Unfortunately, OW does not have tie ups in India as I also have do BOM-MAA-CCU-BOM in one week before heading off to HKG.

Lot of new expiriences on these trips:

4 new carriers (LX, BR, CX, EY)
First long haul F: EY

All of these are on miles, thanks to what I've learned here. Thanks all!

I've done several.

Three paid for personal travel (all AONE5s):

2002: ARN-LHR-DXB-LHR//FRA-DFW-SCL-IPC-SCL-LAX-ORD-SEA-ORD-SFO-ORD//JFK-SFO-HKG-KIX-HKG-DPS-HKG-BKK-SYD-AYQ-PER-SYD-AKL-HKG-LHR-ARN

2004: CAI-LHR-JFK-BGI-JFK-LAX-SCL-GIG-SCL-JFK-HKG-NRT-HKG-SYD-HKG-LHR-DXB

2007/8: MRU-LHR-DXB-LHR-SYD-CNS-AYQ-SYD-HKG-NRT-HKG-JFK-GRU-EZE-LHR-MRU

Two using award tickets:
