Mats, very generous offer, let's do a future event at your place. I'm one of the people without a car since I live downtown, but I could arrange a rental with notice and transport others that need a ride from the downtown area. For this event, if the date works for everyone, I'll post a few potential meeting places to vote on.

I actually leave YVR on the 5th to cross the border so the afternoon may be a bit tight though it depends on the time. Depends on the majority, of course.

I'm thinking about hosting in my building, Via6, which has a lot of good public spaces to hang out and a Tom Douglas restaurant (Tanaka San). It's on 6th and Lenora, close to several bus routes, 4 blocks from Westlake Station, and has a parking garage (entrance off Lenora). How's this location work for everyone?

Timing: Considering 4-6 pm, just like the last one, it seemed to work well.

Will this be a dinner event?

Think "happy hour"-ish, but yes, we all got food (and drinks) last time. We'll be meeting in the restaurant.

TanakaSan is a great venue; we had some really good munchies and drinks when we were back home last Aug ... not sure if I can get a kitchen pass for a couple hours, but I will definitely make an effort to show up

I was thinking of the 9th or the 23rd. The weekend of the 15th and 16th are President's Day (and my birthday is on the 14th, which is also a holiday--but not due to my birthday.) So many people will be out of town, possibly including me.

Once again, you're welcome to convene at my place, but that means driving to Tacoma. Or we can find a venue up or around Seattle.

It will be good to see everyone again.

Ok... so we're looking at the evening of the 23rd! I'll be coming back from a status run that day, but land at 4:15 so should be able to meet at 5:30 pm.

We have two options for location this time around:

1. Try something different and meet up in Tacoma. Mats has offered to host us and provide entertainment (maybe I made that second part up). The closest bus stop is Broadway and Division, he's walking distance from there. This would be a fun way to get together, and might bring in some new folks that don't normally make the trek up to downtown.
2. Meet in our usual location, downtown Seattle. As our venue this time I suggest Frolik, on the 5th floor of the Red Lion Hotel (5th and Pike). They revamped it recently and it's quite nice with a good selection of drinks and food.
