Currency Exchange Meets?
So, when walking by a forex booth the other day, I saw a gathering of, I believe, Europeans waiting to pay outrageous fees to buy dollars. As it turns out, I am in the market for both pounds and euro and it occurred to me that it might be a win-win to sell them some of my dollars at prevailing rates. But I wasn't forward enough, and I also was a bit concerned the airport authorities might take a dim view of such activities.
But it got me thinking. I know that many FTers use money machines, but the reality is that we are probably often in the same airports at the same time needing what the other has. Moreover, many times when flights arrive from abroad, they are turning around in a short time from whence they came. So, for example, here in PHX, there is a BA flight once a day bringing 200 or so folks from U.K. into the airport. They are probably clearing immigration right about the same time that 200 or so folks from the US are arriving at the airport to head to the U.K.
So, I guess there are two questions. First, would it violate any rules for me, for example, to post in the BA forum that I would be happy to meet up with anyone coming in on the BA flight to sell dollars for pounds at the prevailing rate? Second, either way, would this be something for which perhaps a forum might be of assistance to get people together?

We'll move this to a forum where it's apt to get more exposure and input; it's not really a TalkBoard Topic.

Thanks JDiver. There actually is, though, a talkboard type proposal in the message -- to consider whether a currency meet type of forum might be desirable. Given how little traffic or comment the suggestion has received so far, though, I'm thinking maybe not.
