Karen was a wonderful person to be around. I have fond memories of the time spent together in BsAs a few years ago. Condolences to her family.

She was a lovely, gentle lady. Anyone who met her liked her. This news makes me sad. I appreciate the family letting her FlyerTalk family know in the midst of their own grief.

What sad news. I met Karen in Venice and she was a bright and shining asset to our little Do. Lovely woman. My heart goes out to her family.

I'd met Karen way back at OP's TLS Airbus FT Do in Toulouse in '07, my first overseas FT Do, and enjoyed meeting her at the event.

Here's a group photo with sadly other FTers in it who are no longer with us.

itsaboutthejourney is away from FT at the moment, but asked me to convey his feelings of shock and sorrow.
Sympathies to her family, and may we all take comfort in our memories of Karen's graciousness and life joy.
