At LGA for the next 5 hours (June29)

In the main Delta terminals (not the Shuttle terminal). Happy to chat with anyone!

Can you amuse yourself by checking out the current state of the SCs and reporting back? At least you can take the airside shuttle bus between the terminals for variety. There's a pretty big food court in the old US terminal just beyond the lounge IIRC.

Currently in the "Terminal D Behind the Delta ticket counter adjacent to security checkpoint" SC right now. Between 1/4 and 1/3. Not too loud. Will set out in a little while to look at the other one, then may take the bus around. I also have $20 in food vouchers to make use of--any recommendations?

To me, the food outlets and general atmosphere in the DL terminal look fresher and more attractive. The US terminal appears tired and faded. I think they have some scheme to order on a iPad in the DL terminal, at least around the gates near the other SC and bus stop.

Update

SC "Terminal D Behind the Delta ticket counter adjacent to security checkpoint" has a grand total of 5 people in it. Only noise is the TV with a tennis game on.

Smaller SC-around 20% full
Larger SC-around 80+% full

MSPeconomist, are you passing through LGA tonight?

Got the bump! And put up by Delta in THE Waldorf-Astoria. Don't think I've ever stayed in a hotel this nice.

Regarding this thread in general: I had an extended layover at LGA due to a bump, and I posted simply to see if any FTers would be transiting the DL terminals. MSPeconomist requested SC reports, so I obliged. I'd be happy to check on your request, assuming I can find it, tomorrow morning at the airport.

mtvm, I couldn't find the duty free shop. Do you know which terminal/which part of the terminal it's in?

Excellent!!!
It's more or likely i won't be transiting on a DL terminal because i use AA. But i am also more than happy to check on fellow FT'ers when they are bored. Yup, i know the purpose was to find someone there and have a chat.

No worries!, i was just asking if it was on hand and not a hassle. . Well, i haven't been in LGA Duty Free. But, supposedly most of them are located on Terminal B!!
