Congratulations and thanks for the wonderful story. As for thanking FT for your new job...as Mark & Mike always say "The credit ALWAYS goes to the one in the ring."

What a great bit of luck to make that kind of connection in a job interview. I keep my FT activities very much on the down low as I've gotten used to numb incomprehension from those fellow employees with whom I've shared this obsession, and downright distrust from some former employers who felt I was always trying to game any company paid travel. (I was, of course, but it really was always benefitial to the company as I could usually find lower fares on my preferred airline).
Enjoy the new gig!

Congrats!
As for me, it turns out that my current boss' husband is on FT - and it did come up in the interview...wonder if he'll read this! If so, hi Randy! (his name is Randy too, just like Randy P.)

Just thought Id update everyone. End of week 2. So far enjoying it a lot!
I cant get into a lot of detail bc of the nature of the deal but I am finding it very interesting a learning a lot by the minute.
On a side note, in other exciting news, I found out today I passed the last section of my CPA exam! This weekend calls for celebration! Heres to Flyertalk!

I will be, yes. Im on a project which requires me to fly weekly up to the client site and should for the next 6 months or so. The only problem is the flight is only around 400miles (or points bc we fly full fare refundable) so a PLT challenge would take a longggggggg time. Now, on the plus side I can fly anywhere I want on the weekends (within reason) so I could possibly pick places which are longer distances away than Dallas.
