I am around on the 25th. If anybody feels like getting in the mood for Halloween, I am one of a group of people who will be telling spooky stories at the C&O Canal Visitor Center (Great Falls Tavern, on the Maryland side) the afternoon of the 26th.

It looks like krazykanuck will be arriving in town on Saturday afternoon, which would probably fit my schedule better, but I'm flexible.

There is also apparently some minor sporting event going on this weekend :p dunno what the crowds will be like.

Indeed I will be. Staying downtown DC, so reasonably convenient to that or something I can reach by Metro would be preferred.

I'm jealous I'll miss it. I'll be in Houston while they are in DC, and back this way while they are in Houston. :(

Current plan is to meet krazykanuck and Long Train Runnin at Right Proper at noon on Saturday and see where the day leads after that:

I have a quick short-notice trip early next week; based on some prior informal discussions, GrjApp and I have decided to meet up at Matchbox at Pentagon City on Tues 14 Jan ~1915

mattp1987 and his wife (Dr P) will be joining as soon as they can get there (flight is due into DCA ~1930) ... all other DCHH regulars and irregulars are of course welcome

My schedule appears to have a pizza-and-beer-sized hole in it that evening, so I should be able to join you all as well.

We'll plan to come straight there from DCA. That's on our way from the airport to our hotel on the blue line.

Wish I could, but am doing my new retirement travel thing - pet sitting with a Victorian bulldog in Atlanta, (Victorian bulldogs are selectively bred to have longer legs and a longer snout, so healthier.)
