It was great to see everyone last night! Thanks for coming out - especially the new folks.

This was certainly one of the best facilities. Large table with high back leather easy chairs at the table. Should repeat sometime.

I have it on good authority that monitor and frantic will be at Tysons on Wednesday June 10 and are interested in a DC dinner. Clarendon/Courthouse would probably work best. Who would be available for dinner, perhaps around 7:00 pm? Venue suggestions would be welcome.

monitor May 24, 2015 3:10 pm

Your information is correct. :)

Put us in as confirmed for that evening.

I'm definitely interested (and currently available) for June 10th. Since I chose the last two restaurants, I'll defer to everyone else this time.

The American Tap Room was great, especially those pretzels.

I enjoyed meeting you all last time and look forward to another happy hour. If you're all interested in coming into DC, MatchBox in Chinatown is good - it's right in between Metro Center and Chinatown stations.

Either way, I'm confirmed for the evening.

I would say
Blackfinn at Farragut Square
Laughing man at Metro Center or
Vapianos on Connecticut Ave.

all are super metro accessible

Regret that I'll miss that because I already bought my ticket to the NOAA Fish Fry. But if you'll be downtown and will be lingering later in the evening, I may be able to join you all then.

monitor has expressly requested a Clarendon/Courthouse venue for this event. We can do something downtown next time.

I think that I expressed interest in having the HH in VA.

Truth is that Tysons would be most convenient for me but that is a non-starter for too many of the usual crowd. Clarendon/Courthouse is quite OK for us.

I am one of the few who would welcome Tysons, but I'm in for Arlington or DC as well. (The typical 7pm time leads to easy parking.)

Longboater May 28, 2015 7:35 am

I can do Tysons easily. Hell, I could get a reservation at the Palm out there without issue.

Now that the Silver Line goes to Tyson's, it should be easier to do things there than it was previously. Not that it is all that great a part of town foodwise, in my experience, though I did have a lovely meal with friends at America Eats last weekend and I have had good food at Coastal Flats (but it is kind of on the noisy side.)

I'm not sure about my availability on June 10th yet. I have a semi-commitment right now, but I have reason to believe it is likely to get cancelled.

I think I'm in. Still need to confirm some work travel in June....
