FT vs Milepoint

I searched and couldn't find posts or threads where this has been discussed, so if it's a rehash, please point me to the right thread...

I just recently learned about Milepoint via CN Traveler. Had literally never heard of it before even through reading all the FT posts across multiple forums. Regardless, I've perused it, certainly saw most of the same folks posting over there the same stuff they post over here, so....what's the difference?

Randy Peterson founded both FT and Milepoint. I've read the 'About Us' sections of both, and while slightly different there, the forums all tend to be the same stuff.

Why create two separate forums dedicated to everything travel and FF program-related? Am I the only one confused by this?

And, as you can imagine, I'll join Milepoint and post this very same thing over there, but frankly, am not sure I'll get different answers?!?

Why not just one place for all of us?

Randy sold FT to Internet Brands, but continued to have a role in management of the site. Some years later he started MP after leaving FT

pdxasflyer, I'm afraid this is OT for Communitybuzz! Ordinarily, I'd move it over to OMNI, but since you are not OMNI qualified (180 posts required), then it seems cruel to move it someplace you can't then see it, but it really is OMNI fodder.

As a result, I'll close it just now.
