Hmm... Looks like the 5:30, 6:00, and 6:30pm timeslots are already sold out for advance purchase tickets for the Burj Khalifa observation deck.
I still think we definitely want to do this - anyone else interested in a 7pm ride to the top on Friday, or some other time over the weekend? http://www.burjkhalifa.ae/language/e...formation.aspx For those that already registered for the top at the Burj at 6pm on Friday So far I have: Dedehans ClaudiSTR Hippo72 From NYC meFIRST Maybe: Paranoiatx Meet at the base I guess (the entrance). I'll have a flyertalk sign. Look out for that Alternatively, I think there is another group going at 4:30pm |

Finally in atl. B/e lounge a disgrace. DeltA shame on you Chardonnay swill for white wine and nasty snacks as well. Hoping for good stuff on delta 8 tonite |
Am at the LH Senator lounge at Newark waiting for my flight to Frankfurt and on to Dubai. Had tried to get a flight out from JFK because of the great LH lounge there, especially for F class, but CO couldn't swing it with my miles. The lounge here is small, warm (so getting me ready for Dubai), and not a great selection of food items, so I'm waiting to see what F class on board will be like.
Had heard I might have to walk from my plane to the FCT in Frankfurt, but the lounge checker-in'r told me a car would take me there. Yeah! Still, I'll see if that's what happens. My knees have been tasking me the last few days, so a ride would be nice. I'll be at the Hilton tomorrow night, before switching over to the PH. Looking forward to seeing you all there! Hope everyone has a safe and fun flight(s) to DXB. |
preparing my DubaiDo MR.....
looking forward meeting you at the brunch on Friday! |

Unfortunately, there's no transportation provided. Sou you'll have to walk....but it's only 5-10 mins.
If needed, check here for directions: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/10600643-post1.html Enjoy! It isn't crowded at all now, thanks to those other lounges no doubt, and more than makes up for the sparse EWR lounge. Have about 1 1/2 hours left here, and about to take my shower and such before the final leg begins and it's "Hello, Dubai!" BTW, the A340 flight from EWR had the old style F cabin. Wonder what the 747 to come will be like. Next check-in will be from the Hilton Dubai. |

At the FCT now. Well, I gave it a try, along with another couple on the plane, at the A Hall 1st class check-in, but they wouldn't budge about a car over to here. And it really was a nothing walk over. While overcast, no rain or snow, so. Of course, they gave the excuse that there're 1st class lounges inside the terminals now, so no more shuttle bus or the like.

Re old cabin in F.....AFAIR there're currently only 2 747 and apparently 1 A3x0 with the new F so don't expect a new F for your FRA-DXB flight. You'll find an empty seat next to you (there're still 16 seats but only 8 Pax max). See you on Friday and have a safe trip! |

5. It's perfectly fine if you don't drink alcohol. Apparently there are some FlyerTalkers who don't drink. I've never met one mind you.
