Space Camp DO

Hello everyone,

While attending the Delta Skymiles Forum event (aka ATLDO) I asked a few loyal FTers if they would be interested in a Space Camp DO. The response was really great so I've decided to poll everyone and see who would be interested.

The location would be Huntsville, Alabama (HSV) but there are larger airports in Nashville and Birmingham both about 2 hours away.

If the response is good I will go ahead and make contact with a few ex-coworkers and see what we can put together.

You can check out their standard program information for adults at
http://www.spacecamp.com/adult

Thanks,

Wes

Wow, isn't that the damndest thing. I went as a youth and just today opened the bin that had my astronaut blue jumpsuit in it (I did not try it on ). I would be potentially very interested in this depending on the dates.

Also, I can offer first hand testimonial that the HSV Space Camp is an awesome, awesome experience. This was about 20 years ago. I'm sure it's improved.

I'd be interested, depending on dates. Can't plan too far in advance.

Good idea, but we've been there done that.

We were there for a non profit BOD meeting a few years ago and used the Marriott next door and could just walk over to the Space Camp facility and space museum and Imax theater and had a great experience.

and if you like German food, you'll find it in Huntsville, though served by waiters with southern accents.

I went to Space Camp in '97, and it was great!

I don't see myself flying over from Europe for a DO there though.

Interested but it depends on when it is and if I can loose enough weight to go on all of the simulators.

I went to Space Camp some 20+ years ago when they had it in FL, near KSC.

It rocked.

I went in 93 & 95 iirc. It was a bunch of fun - mark me down as interested too. BTW, Applebees in HSV had a great happy hour with 50 cent beer when I was there 3 years ago
