UA changed KMA26's and my return, on March 7th, from the BRU-ORD non-stop to BRU-IAD-ORD.
We decided to let UA know that we were not happy with the new routing and could they put us on the BRU-ORD non-stop on March 8th. UA was quite amenable to the idea with no change fare to either of us.

KMA26, glad to hear that you and the_happiness_store will be able to stay an extra day! For the night of 3/7, I'm seeing a 4* Brussels area for $78, which means a successful Priceline bid is likely in the high 60s for that area. Of course, no points/benefits. 4* is likely the Sheraton or Hilton Rogier, which I think is about 10 min from the Grand Place. If you have any SPG points, the very convenient/nice Le Meridien across from Central Station and close to Grand Place is offering 4k redemption + $60.

Please mark me as interested. At this time, I'd be arriving on Saturday, and departing on Sunday at 11am. If I can, I might try and swing a Thursday departure.

I'm thinking that this trip will work.. Is there a hotel that most of you are staying at?

For my brother (makersmark) and me, it looks like a couple nights in Kortrijk (Wed/Thurs), a couple non-consecutive nights in Brussels at the Conrad (Fri, Mon to use up some of those free Hilton nights from Q2-2010), and the weekend in Sint-Niklaas for the ZBF (so we don't have to travel back to Brussels half-wasted late at night).
We are going to be splitting up and rejoining a lot, it appears.

If I arrive on the 5th, I'd unfortunately have to leave on the 6th. Flight gets to BRU around 9am~, and then departs at 11am on the 6th.
I'll know more about the schedule within the next week.

With the current crazy Delta mistake fares out there, I'm thinking of booking for the weekend - it's $440 roundtrip a/i from Washington! Deciding in the next few hours... I LOVE good beer and also love Belgium

Okay, I booked - and I'm female, so we can start moving that ratio up
Getting in Fri Mar 4 at 9:40am and leaving Sun Mar 6 at 2:55pm, so that puts me in for the ZBF as well as hopefully another thing or two. Right now I booked the Sheraton Four Points in Brussels but I'd be open to sharing the IBIS with someone if that's what people are doing? I'm not totally clear on how to get from downtown to there but haven't done any research yet.
I CANNOT WAIT!

It's an hour from there to Sint Niklaas, where the ZBF will be held.
Hotel arrangements are still fluid.
