Randy - Thanks for starting this forum. This is invaluable and I wish you the best on your future endeavors.
You will be missed...in all spheres specially in thought leadership!! |
Thank you!
I never met you Randy, and I just joined FT but have enjoyed immensely this short time with you!
Thank you for creating this site, warmest regards, Olof |
As a long time member of this board I can only say one thing. You will be missed.
I hope you will keep in touch and let us know of your whereabouts. I hope the new team/people in charge will keep this wonderful site the same as it is now. Wishing you perfect health and success for the future and still a lot of flying. :) |
Thank you for everything you've worked toward with FT. You've made traveling alot more wonderful for a great many people. You've made traveling a less stressful for a great many people. And you've made me a believer in the positive effects of a great online commmunity.
Good luck in your next endeavor...may it soar as high as FlyerTalk has, and touch the roof of the world! |
thank you for everything randy....
|
Thank you very much for the community you have created. Adds value to many lives including mine.
Your influence will truly be missed. Best wishes. |
All the best, mine's a pint. :)

Thank You Randy!
Before FT I didn't have a passport, only dreamed of going to Europe, and didn't know the airport codes for anything but JFK and EWR.....
Since joining FT I've been to Europe twice, Central America once, and I think I have enough miles to travel around the world. :D Ok, in economy on a Saturday but still.... I've met some great people here - thanks for making this a wonderful community to learn, exchange ideas and opportunities, and to realize that no matter where you come from, a coupon code for $40 off a one-night minimum stay with no minimum spend will make you smile. -Reep |
Seems like it was just yesterday that Flyertalk started. Although I know a lot of water has gone under the bridge since May 1998, FT is a vastly different place and it has been a great benefit to the frequent flier community. Good luck in your new ventures Randy.

Randy, I hope you feel welcome to still post wherever you see fit.

Thank you, Randy
I can't believe it!. Mr. Flyertalk is leaving FT.
Randy, thank you for starting FT and keeping OMNI alive. ^^ In a way, FT has changed my life. There was a time before FT when I didn't know how to maximize miles and benefits, and I certainly did not spend much time on a forum much before OMNI. Now, FT is the one website I have to regularly check in. I'm sure you will stay active and start wonderful new ventures. As you've suggested to following you on Twitter, I am going to finally start a twitter account and who knows where that will take me. Best wishes to you, and I hope someday we will meet again, perhaps in Santa Fe? :) |
Randy, your leaving comes as a shock but I'm not surprised - new management usually don't want visionaries staying around long. You and your creations have changed my life; I traveled for work and made thhe most of it. FT showed me how to travel in style without breaking my travel budget. And I met people and learned things that I never would have if I never had heard of this thing called FlyerTalk.
I'm currently grounded but am still using what I've learned here. New opportunities open up every day - I hope you are successful in the ones that come your way. |
WOW!
Randy - I just saw this news thanks to Gleff's global post.
Through the magic of Flyertalk, I have had the pleasure of needing extra pages added to my passport, something most of those I know did not even know could be done. "Once-in-a-lifetime" trips have become "where should we go next week?" trips. I, along with family and friends, have seen more of this planet than most could ever dream of, and we've done in it style. My guess is that you've improved the lives of tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of people - myself included. While these words don't do this justice, all I can say is thank you. John |
Best of luck in the future with your endeavours !
(Let us know what they will be!) |
