Stanley Cup at O'Hare

Hi All!

If you'll be at O'Hare tomorrow morning (in the United terminal, of course!), come help us welcome the Stanley Cup to Chicago. It will be arriving on United flight 7360 from Montreal at about 10:00 a.m. so stop by the gate to snap some photos and get a good look before it makes its way to the United Center!

Of course, I won't be near ORD Surprised that it's coming in on a UX flight. Shouldn't it deserve mainline?

It's crazy the amount of attention that thing draws. My office bldg has a few radio station tenants and shortly after the Blackhawks won, some players were there to do an interview and they had the Cup in tow. When the NHL security guys rolled it through the lobby, sans any players around, people were crowding around and snapping pix left and right. Of course the Cup was in its flight case but no one seemed to care.

I've had the pleasure of seeing Stanley up close a few times. I must say, as a fan of the game it's a thrill to see him.

Take good care of him at ORD!

Must have been a quick trip to Montreal! I happen to know the Cup made an appearance at Ryan Field in Evanston before the Northwestern game on Saturday.
