acronyms & other bits & bobs
i am trying to become a more active member of the boards but i find that i am often put off by the excessive use of acronyms and other terminology that i don't understand. sometimes things can be deduced from context but usually i just get exasperated and quit reading! any suggestions from what seems like a friendly and helpful group would be gr8!

If it is not in the glossary, don't hesitate to ask the poster to explain his/her abbreviations. I'm sure they would be happy to do so.

Many forums have their own glossaries as well. They're usually a sticky like this one in Travel Safety/Security.
And as CDKing stated, there is a general FT glossary linked above and if all else fails, just ask another member as restlessinRNO suggests.
Since your question has been asked and addressed and CommunityBuzz! is probably not the best home for your thread, we'll close it for lack of a better place to move it.
