NYC MidSummer Night's Dinner Mini-Do Aug 25th

As I've been pretty much stuck at work the last month or so, I haven't really been able to be on FT much. Now that I've earned my "freedom" a bit, Iwant to get back into the swing of things.

Here in NYC, Restaurant Week has been extended till Labor Day Weekend and I think it's the perfect opportunity to go to one of the better restaurants in the City for $35 prix fixe. So in the spirit of the dog days of August (and Shakespear of course) , I present the MidSummer Night's Dinner Mini Do

August 25Th
Time: 7pm
Location:

Delmonico's
56 Beaver Street
New York, NY 10004
212-509-1144

In a city filled with great steakhouses, this is one of the better ones. Billed as one of the originators, Past meets the present as we take it over for a night of great food and our usual chatter of miles, points, etc.

Early Bar meet will be at 6pm at:

Ulysess Folk House
95 Pearl Street
212-482-0400

We will be meeting in the outside bar area on Stone Street.

Sounds good to me.

How about suggesting some restaurant options participating in the restaurant week dinner special?

Put me down as a probably! I am fine with wherever you choose, but I do prefer someplace that is on the quiet side so that I can hear the discussion!

El Chif,

Some of the places you put are not for dinner, just lunch, such as Blue Water Grill. Yummy food, but noisy inside.

How about starting with either specific resto, or a neighborhood. I would actually suggest the Meatpacking area or Union Square/ Flatiron region.

Any other suggestions???

They all sound great to me! I am leaning towards the Steakhouses or Megu (although I don't understand the menu for North Square).

North Square has been the site of 2 FT events this year. It truly is a great location and one I'm guessing will be used again quite soon. Update with the actual location to be performed soon.
