Must have just missed you. Saw your computer being charged but yiunweren't there. Thought I'd have a starter then check out again but now there was a family sitting there.

Plan for my day is to do the Sydney Bienalle on Cocatou Island, have an early drink in the lounge and then head over to the restaurant by train about 5:30. I'll be in the lounge for another hour webbing around until 10ish. Wearing a blue Nautica windbreaker, black slacks either in the main lounge area or using one of their PCs for printing out some things.

Famous people met

Well, twice in 2 weeks in 2 different states, I have run across the famous Leumas. I was quietly setting up to have breakfast at the Sydney IC lounge, and Noelene greets me. Then a moment later, I meet Leumas again. Long story short, also met up with Shareholder, and the 4 of us enjoyed a leisurely b'fast. I was unaware of this thread, and I would be delighted to meet up with everyone for dinner tonight. See you at the restaurant. John.

See you tonight, John! T will be happy to see you.

What is the expected size of our group? Just in case we need a larger table.

Thanks!

We had a great night.

It's always a pleasure to meet Raffles longhaul, who exemplifies the joy of finding and maximising the fare deals here on FlyerTalk.

Nice to meet Shareholder - enjoy the rest of your stay and thanks for coming.

It's also always great to meet our mates who come out to meet visitors like our two Canadian special guests. Thanks downunder girl, leumas and our accidental visitor, JohnSydney2000! I'll try to get the news to you next time!

Not to mention the very special effort Noelene made.
Thanks for twisting her arm, downunder girl.
It was fun to meet the other DG - she's more mini mouse than mini DG... and you are hilarious, Mini DG.

Noelene, it's always great to catch up with you. I w ill be in touch.
Mrs BB will ensure we investigate New Orleans as an option!

I'm glad it worked out tonight.
Glad you enjoyed the dinner and most of you tried some Hunter Valley Littles shiraz or Tyrrels chardonnay.

Raffles l., if you are reading this, we hope that you are not at any risk of missing your flight as a result of your nocturnal activities or as a result of enjoying your preflight wines too much.

Hopefully I can see you in Seattle, where we may be sleepless, instead of you being sleepless, here!

Hopefully we can take you to the marina next time.

We're a funny old bunch of blokes and sheilas. ^
I hope you enjoyed a glass of juice for me, in between Steinlagers, Sauv Blancs and 42 below spirits.

You may even have spotted some fellow FTers in the KC this morning!

We're all still marvelling at your constitution and energy. I am always happy to see you or be in touch as your enthusiasm is refreshing, infectious and fun.

Enjoy the flights and the onboard NZ service. Best in my world!

Who are you calling old?

Thanks for organising the dinner, BiziBB. And thanks to the DGs for the lift to the restaurant. Excellent driving.

Of course, good to meet our Canadian visitors. Raffles, you're one hard core traveller. Hope the night wasn't too cold for you.

Last but not least, thanks to Noelene, good to see you again. Also to my stalker, John. Always good to catch up.

For anyone interested in meeting future visitors to Sydney, we have a thread started by iluv2fly, in this forum.

If anyone would like to be included on a PM of prospective dates/places for such dinners or drinks, please PM me and I'll make up a list.

The people one meets at the IC!

LMAO BiziBB - your post made me

Thank you to everyone last night for lots of fun and great company.

Was great to meet some new people and catch up with old friends too ^.

Raffles: I hope you are planning a detox when you get home ! Enjoy your flight back home.

Warning to all those who were in contact with me, I have come down with a yucky cold so stock up on your vitamin C . Going to bed now for a nap. I sincerely hope I have not passed on any germs .

Cheers from Downunder
