At another FTers prompting (I'm shy ) I thought I'd see whether there were any New York FTers able or willing for a beverage and/or a meal at the end of my Memorial Day weekend escape to NYC.

While I'm in town on the Fri. 28 May I've already pretty much planned every waking moment except my last evening in town, Tues. 1 June, and thought it couldn't hurt to see if anyone felt like getting together on a post holiday weekend Tues. evening. Venue & times are fairly flexible.

It'd be nice to put some faces to FT handles and wind down my trip with a cold one or two so anyone that can make it great! Please post or PM me if interested.

Yeah, Dan & I are doing Katz's on the Fri. at noon if others care to join. If an evening works better for others that's why I thought the Tues. night was also possible. The more the merrier. ^

June 1 works for me. I'll be trying to adjust from returning from BKK the day before.

I'll be in CMI (driven from IND as I couldn't find <$400 S*A flights there) at that time then onto YVR but I'll be available 6/1 evening. Let me know the plan.

There's a good chance I can make Katz's on Friday - when I know for certain I'll post again.

I thought I'd bump this thread to talk location. As a UA MP 1P I was given a restaurant.com $50 gift cert. so redeemed it at two NYC locations think I might be able to use it as a single diner, which I later found out won't work. So using this gift cert for this event would be one way to see it doesn't go to waste and whichever one goes unused can be given to a local who might be able to use it at some later date. The two restaurants are Cafe 50 West in the Flatiron district and Rocco Restaurant, a traditional Italian restaurant in the village.

If these cert.'s can go to use I thought I'd throw that out there but if anyone than can make it has a better suggestion by all means throw it out there. Also if those that can make it could please confirm that I'll make a list of the attendees in the original post.

Wish I could make it, meet FT'ers and one of my absolutely fav restaurants in NYC, Cafe 50 West. I've never had a bad meal there!

Okay, I've updated the original post to reflect the venues for both the Katz's lunch and the evening get together at Cafe 50 West and anyone that can make it please PM or post here and I'll update the guest list.

Cafe 50 West seems a smaller venue and doesn't take reservations but the online reviews I've read made it sound like a Tues. night shouldn't be too hard to get a table for 3-5 so will hope for the best.
