Thanks for the heads up - I'm going to merge this offer in with our thread on the subject of offers of assitance. At the same time - it's nice to see a company acting in this way ^

I am still struck in Switzerland for another 1 more week. So unfortunately, my flight has been cancelled today and also I got emails from US Airways yesterday. So I was unable flying back home today. So I have to stay in Switzerland for extended 1 more week. I am leaving back home to USA on Apr 27. So if you guys want to meet us in person where we can have a nice lunch or dinners in BSL.

I'm going home !!!!
Travel dept here at my office in MRS was able to book me MRS-MAD-MIA on Iberia and MIA-IAH on Continental, leaving tomorrow morning.
I have seat assignments, sure hope this works ! I'm a little worried about the MAD part to be honest.
I swear I will kiss the ground when I get to MIA !
Good luck to all the rest of you, and if anyone is in Houston let me know (after tomorrow evening), be glad to help you out in any way I can.

Jenbel,
Can you remove me from the "stuck" list please. BA102 left YYC and hung around high over Manchester for a while then diverted to CDG. On the ground we were told we were going to stay overnight, before we disembarked they told us we might get into LHR as airspace was opening and crew had JUST enough hours left. We refuelled and went after * below.
Now sitting in LHR hotel with a pint in front of me waiting for food!!

^^Well done BA and the crew!
[*near mutiny from a few frenchies who wanted to get off in Paris but were denied as luggage removal would have delayed the whole flight, but that is another story and was dealt with well by the crew]

I've been stuck in London (not the worst place in the world to be if one has to be stuck). I have reservations back to the US tomorrow and as well to Madrid and then Madrid to the US if the Boston flight doesn't go. If both fail to leave, I'll be here until Tuesday.
Stayed in one of my usual hotels but got a call on Saturday from one of my colleagues who was stuck in London and thought that I was one of the more creative and experienced travelers and might have an idea of how to get out of London. He had no idea I was in London. I hadn't extended my stay past Monday because I was expecting to leave then (not sure why) and he was moving in to a beautiful penthouse flat overlooking the Thames (his friend who lives there is out of the country through the end of the month). Not bad. Plus meals at Sumosan, a Gordon Ramsey gastropub, and tonight at a very good Pan-Asian called Uli. He and I are supposed to meet with the CEO of a prospective client on Friday in the Midwest. It could happen.
One interesting point. He and I and another colleague stuck in Amsterdam have spent several man-days trying to get out of Dodge (as have various admins back home). If we'd spent that time on real work or improving the world, just think how much better off we'd all be.

Talked to some of my clients who were with me at a trade show in Vegas last week. Some are still stuck in Vegas, some had connections so the airlines flew them to the connections & now they're stranded in those various locales. They're being given dates of this Friday to Sunday to next Friday to return
Some (I'm not kidding) made ressies on the boat headed over the pond (one of the Queens - can't remember which one) if they don't get out via the airlines.
Cheers.

Good news for me with the UK airspace being opened I should hopefully be on the first Asiana flight to London. I'm being told I should be top of the standby list, but I'll not be celebrating till I disembark at Heathrow!!
