Agean Air question
I need to book FRA-ATH and am looking at a RT on Agean. Outbound is fare class P, earns zero miles, return is K which should earn 100%.
Question: will I get the miles for the return, or will the fact that it's a round trip mean the outbound P fare will cause me to get zero miles for the entire trip?
(This is my last trip for 2010, and I'm 200 miles short of 1K, and Agean is cheaper than LH)
Question: will I get the miles for the return, or will the fact that it's a round trip mean the outbound P fare will cause me to get zero miles for the entire trip?

I flew Aegean LHR-ATH last summer. May I offer some advice. May sure your UA MP # is printed on your Aegean BP. When I flew, the A3 check-in folks assured me my MP # was on the reservation. Result: the segments with no MP # on the BP earned no miles, requiring several phone calls to UA to obtain mileage credit.P.S. Aren't you cutting it a little close here, requalifying for 1K?

lili - each eligible segment should earn miles.

Yes, cutting it that close I'm concerned. Very concerned. Visualizing Christmas dinner where I get my Christmas pudding in a to go box apologizing : thanks, I have to fly to LA and back right now, see ya in an hour or two to help with the kitchen cleanup. (Only possible because my sister lives 3 miles from SAN)
LH offers only 375 miles for a fare that is $100 higher. That's truly close.
Maybe I should buy two one-ways.

If you've been following my postings elsewhere & wondering if we will allow ourselves to be groped & abused by TSA one last time for this trip, the answer is .... Yes!
Our itin had developed some serious schedule-change issues in both directions including a return from CGN that could not be rebooked, but after CO's customer service rep had worked on it for an hour to no avail, I didn't have the heart to cancel, so we will return from FRA. The exact dates in FRA & CGN are after 12/21 but otherwise TBD. If anyone wants to meet up in Kln or Frankfurt after Athens, please PM me.

WifeMpls might kill me for this, but while I was poking around in Expedia's hotel bookings I spotted one a bit north of the Plaka, dirt cheap & with pretty good reviews, so I booked it: Hotel Aristoteles, $30.76+/night, $309 all in for 9 nights, prepaid, includes continental breakfast.
A couple others that caught my eye:
Airotel Parthenon (where we originally were going to stay), $85 (+$10 taxes) for stays of 3+ days in Expedia
Hotel Novus, new 4* w/ really good reviews, $75+ (w/ "Fee Chop") in Priceline, not clear if cheaper rates include breakfast. Expedia offers $79+ (apparently no brekkie) & $89+ (w/ brekkie) for Hotel Novus.

As written before I am also in. I will arrive Friday afternoon and am considering the Parthenon or IC. It would be the Parthenon but the IC sports the very same price tag thanks to the F&F promotion.
Based on the last update on who is staying where I cannot decide
Update: IC it is. I'll arrive at 12:15 on LH from MUC and would love to check out the archaeologist museum with you guys.

Hopefully you arrive on time and can catch up to us at the archaeologist museum. I'm at the IC and I think f0zzy is as well. So there will be people to split cab fare with if you decide to stay there.
I need to read but on Friday at 1:00pm are we meeting at the archaeologist museum or somewhere else before hand?
