Congrats on your upcoming retirement. Perhaps we can meet at an airport sometime and play duos...

With regrets, Calcifer and I are going to have to pass on this; the airfares for that weekend are just not fitting in the budget. I'll be cancelling my award at the Marriott in a few days, in case someone is thinking about booking there.

sounds like an option I'll check with my wife and maybe we'll do a commuter rail trip to Salem that day ... should be able to confirm at least 2 weeks ahead of time

I'd like to know who's staying where, and who has wheels.

After my July 3 recital, which should be over around 5:30,
I'm thinking of hosting a Chinese banquet at either

Su Chang in Peabody (accessible only by auto) at 6:30
http://suchangspeabody.com/
or
Royal East in Cambridge at 7:30
http://www.royaleast.com/

Please e-mail me expressing interest or disdain.

Also, could people tell me if they're going to have a car, in case
someone needs a ride anyplace?

Id be interested in the 7/3 recital. I just gotta figure out how to get there from Worcester. Ive taken the commuter rail to South Station but I'm not sure how to connect to the commuter rail in North Station. Getting back would be the biggest issue

I'd be interested, but it seems kind of logistically complicated. As in: limited or no public transit back to Boston that late at night (see: train and boat schedules). So, must stay that night in Salem, but not too close. So, need car (or hitch ride), etc.

When and where is your next final concert?

Airfare and vacation schedules are going to cause Dave and I to bow out

I'll come in from Natick on the Commuter rail ... we can meet on the train. Take the Commuter rail to Back Bay then the Orange Line to North Station. Schedules aren't great on weekends, but it looks like it's working out.

Hey "old man" what's this "early retirement" thing?

Sadly I'm an impossible for the recital, but hopefully the extra travel you can soon do may see you in SIN or SYD sometime soon???

It appears that our commitment in the Berkshires for the 4th weekend starts on the 4th and not on the 3rd. Therefore, if I can arrange reasonable transportation into BOS instead of BDL, we would like to attend the Saturday afternoon recital at the Church. After that, if the dinner is in Peabody, we can just hit 128 to the MassPike and go west.

So I request that violist mark us down as extremely probable for Saturday. I should be able to set everything up for us when we return from Oz right after Memorial Day (or sooner if the GOGO works on ATL-LAX).
