Arriving 3.30pm, departing Sun 7.20am. Haven't booked hotel yet, but will be out near the airport. Dinner anyone?

I am confirming for Saturday night dinner. I can come to Pentagon City Metro for pick-up. GvdIAD, I'll pm you tonight for phone number and pick-up time.

Here's a suggested venue.

The Washington Post mentions an aviation themed hot dog joint which just opened on Wednesday on the Hill (Barracks Row, so Eastern Market metro). Called DC-3 and has some association with the owners of Matchbox Ted's Bulletin. They supposedly have 17 regional variations. No idea of whether they serve alcohol.

Only 20 seats so probably not the right place for a huge event and I don't know if they will have a full liquor license, but how could we resist the theme?

My schedule is a bit crazy right now, but I could do any of the next few Monday or Wednesday nights.

Having now consulted my calendar in the interests of avoiding double or triple booking myself, I'll ask if anybody is interested in checking out DC-3 on any of the following datesL

Also, while not so good as far as food, but in the interests of shameless self-promotion, I will also mention that I am one of 5 members of Voices in the Glen presenting a free storytelling program for adults on Saturday night, 20 November, at the Kensington Row bookshop on Howard Avenue in Kensington, Maryland as part of Tellebration, an international night of storytelling. One of the stories I'm telling even sort of has to do with travel.

Let's see if we can rope anyone else into this. This could possibly be my first time meeting up with other FTers!

Yep, December 1st is still open for me.

I'll be on my way to DRS on the First so won't be able to attend, but once you confirm dinner, I'll be happy to post it on p1 of the thread as a confirmed event.

Assuming that I don't pick up a bump on my return from Berlin on 11/30, I'd be interested in the DC3 dinner.

Three is probably sufficient to make it official. I figure we can have up to 6 folks and possibly go up the street for drinks afterwards if anybody wants to.

I can probably make it on Dec. 1. I'll just walk after work to this place since this is in my neck of the woods.
