I think we're holding off on any further planning until a list of release locations is posted.
Unfortunately bhatnasx won't be able to coordinate any more, but who needs coordination? It's just DO IRROPS.

OK, time to revive this thread. I see where it opens in "12 markets" on Dec 4 but haven't been able to figure out which 12 markets those are. Anyone have info?
I have also seen at least 2 other threads planning DOs for the wider Dec 11 release (Denver and Houston) and there may be more. I suppose if we're definitely shooting for the Vegas location we can pick that date if it's not among the 12 lucky cities.
Edit: According to Fandango, it's not opening in LAS until Christmas.

Just want to throw in a plug for a get together in SFO this weekend for a regular showing of the movie. We're going to the 7:00pm show at the Century San Francisco Centre 9, 845 Market St on Saturday. It'd be great to meet up with fellow flyertalkers before/after the movie!

It opens in Washington (Loews Georgetown) on Friday, according to Fandango; if any FTers are interested, I'm up for going this weekend or next! Doing a MR all day 12/5, though.
I'll post something in the D.C. thread as well.

Me and Ms. as219 are seeing it tonight in NYC -- got tickets* through Entertainment Weekly.
Any other FTers there tonight? I'll be proudly carrying a shoulder bag with the yellow FT tag!
Look for me in line...

For anyone else interested in attending, I have a +1 that I will not be using (I'm attending alone). For another solo party, look for me wearing the jacket I just described and let me know your interest. I'd say PM me but I'll be leaving my house shortly and don't have web access on my phone.

I could probably go on 12/6. Next weekend is out as I'm meeting my boyfriend in San Francisco for a couple of days.

I apologize if anyone went to try to get in as my +1. Because I was delayed (and then couldn't get a cab for the life of me because of the rain), I didn't get to the theatre until 7:20. There were MANY angry people (who, in fairness to EW, apparently didn't read the whole section on their e-mail about you are not guaranteed admission) turned away...so since I wasn't getting in and was still in the mood to see a movie, I saw Precious instead. Disturbing yet moving film.
Did anyone make it into the NYC screening?
