So from your experience, when does 5x end? Is it 12 months from application or card activation? Is the last month of 5x the close of the 12th statement?

I got 5x right up to the final charge on my 12th statement, which was made a few days before statement close and over a year after approval. YMMV.

I can't find original thread about Citi TY card from last year with x5 points in drug stores. but my question is when does Citi cuts off 12 month promo? I got approved on June 6th, so would my x5 earning potential end on June 6th '14 or closing cycle for that month? Any idea?

Approved on 5/10/13.
First statement was 5/10/13-6/10/13.
12th statement was 4/9/14-5/8/14.
All bonuses on the final statement posted. But, I also had a charge on 5/7 and 5/8 that had not cleared/posted before the statement posted. Will have to wait till next month to see if I get credit for them.

OK, my latest statement just closed. I signed up for the card on April 15, 2013 but don't remember when the first statement closed. It might've been in May 2013. Anyway, my 12th statement closed on April 23, so I figured I was done. I made a couple CVS purchases with this card after that statement closed (4/24, 4/28) just for the heck of it, then stopped because I didn't want to put large spend and get 1x TYP. However, my May 23 statement (13th statement) closed yesterday, and I did get 5x! A missed opportunity... Which now makes me wonder how I should approach this. Should I go hard this upcoming month and hope for the best? Or will 5x be done for sure now? What would you do?

Called to cancel and got offered 2 extra TY points per $1 spent (i.e. 3X on base spend, 4X on dining and entertainment). Meh ...
