Reward Cost Point Increases

Does Choice have any set time they raise the points cost of hotels? he two hotels I use points at the most have both gone up recently.

Gem in NYC from 20K to 25K
Comfort Inn Vauxhall from 16K to 20K

Has anyone else noticed increases?

Choice point levels change at various times and are somtimes seasonally based.

The Gem looks to be 16,000 points, not 25,000.

Yeah, the points definitely go up (and down), but I haven't been able to figure out when those changes happen. It's sort of random.

There is also a very loose connection between room rate and point level as far as I can see.

There's a very loose correlation between points and cost, but I've seen $60 nights for 20,000 points as well as $120 nights for 8,000 points.

Those are the oddities i was referring to with the "loose connection".

If U look on each hotel's homepage, it shows point costs by seasons, which change on the 15th of March, May, Sep., & Nov.
