Anyone use this Choice program?

I don't see many posts, but as I stay in smaller places ofter, I use the Comfort chain quite a bit. About 1 free stay per 10 nights. Not many good promotions, but they do have LOTS of properties and can get you a room for same night using your points - and usually without any problems.
I think this program would be smart to "enhance" itself for the business traveler with some bonuses and status levels. Otherwise stuck as a second tier program.

Comments (if anyone ever signs in)?

Mr Honu has been a member since the beginning. As you said, it's a no-frills program. They did run a double-points (triple for inactive members) special last fall. It seems that active members get the least promos out of this program, but again, if you have to stay in out-of-the-way places or are on a tight budget, these hotels can be a good choice (pun intended ).
Usually, the points post within two weeks, and the properties I've seen are modest but don't tend to vary so much in quality as, for example, Best Westerns.

I used the chain extensively with my gov't travel. They tried to decline points based on the fact that i was given a 'local contract" rate vs a gov't rate for rooms.

After 3 months of emails and phone calls, they awarded the points.

Why does it have to be so hard when it is based on $ spent vs visits?

BTW: whenever I have a choice (often) I tell my agents to make sur that i am not at one of the participating hotels.
