Albany EconoLodge for Total Eclipse
I'm a little concerned. Any type of lodging anywhere close to the eclipse in Oregon on August 20th has been sold out. Today, I found an EconoLodge with many rooms available for that night in Albany. This location doesn't show up anywhere except for Choice Hotel's website.
After typing in the address into Google Maps, I see it was a La Quinta. And after doing some research on Yelp and TripAdvisor, I see that La Quinta received mostly one star recent reviews up until one month ago.

1. Should I be concerned about the reviews even though it changed owners?
2. Should I be concerned that they don't really have availability since everywhere is sold out at that time?
Thanks!

The Econo Lodge Inn & Suites hotel in Albany OR near Oregon State University is a newly opened hotel. Because it is newly opened, hotel rooms just recently became available for purchase on choicehotels.com.
Please feel free to book! La Quinta is not affiliated with Choice Hotels and so the reviews referenced do not pertain this hotel as an Econo Lodge.

Well, I just happened to check, and while it's still showing rooms available for Aug 20, they're either $400 or $500 a night. The night before or after they're either $300 or $400 or $500. While exactly a week earlier or two days later they start at $90.

Oh my God. I don't believe it! I actually went ahead and booked a second room with one king for $70 plus tax before the price increase. I don't think I am going to use it. If not, you are welcomed to it. I think my wife prefers we all stay in one room. PM me if that is of interest to you.
