Size of suitcase?

I know the suitcase is fine for my international flight, however is it too big for the domestic planes? My suitcase is 26" tall. China Eastern says it cannot be more than 62 inches. (Length + Width + Height). Will they refuse to accept it, if it is 70 inches?

I assume you mean as checked baggage? I've never had a problem with large checked bags -- in China the concern seems to be weight, rather than height.

Yes, I am worried my bag is too big to be checked in for a domestic flight on MU.
However, I am hearing that weight is more important. So if I stay below 44 lbs, I'll be OK.

Conversely...in US the main concern is weight and liposuction. In China...height
and surgical leg extensions.

Last Chinese domestic flight I took a fellow pax had a piece of cabin baggage (more accurately 1 of his 4 pieces of cabin baggage) about that size. With it not fitting in the overheads, not under the seat said bit of baggage got an upgrade to J.

phillipas, He was doing it as a carry on. Why didn't he just check it in? I plan to check it in. However, I think I understated the measurement. I think the bag is more like 32".

FT posters, You were correct, no one bothered about the suitcase. Worried for naught.
