For those who aren't familiar, I lived in Beijing for about a year and half studying Mandarin and am now based in HK working. I go back to China every month or so on business.

I'm trying to focus on the changes I've seen and interesting little observations I make in the next week I'll be here (I've got tickets to two events, one was tonight), such as how things have changed in the very short term just for the Olympics.

Though I'll hasten to add that the posts might become a bit leaner for a few days as I'll have some work to do. The consequences of the Firm paying for my plane ticket though I am staying with a friend and not at a hotel.
