best sites for Chinese hotel discounts
The conventional wisdom seems to be that, to get the best rates on hotels in China, you have to negotiate a discount directly. Is that still true? (Given the rise of sites like ctrip and elong, I know it's not really true anymore that the best airfares are found with "local" travel agents).
Are there any websites (available in English) that offer top discounts for Chinese hotels? I'm really interested in discounts on the Chinese-run hotels, as I'm usually able to get what I think is the "best rate" at the internationally-managed properties.
