I'm leaving here on Monday (almost for sure), but tomorrow or Sunday could both work for me.

I'm thinking about coming back for 3-4 days during the middle of May,.... and then going back to the US for the rest of the month. A lot depends on my new visa; if they decide that I'm only worth 2-3 entries, I'll be forced to plan my travels a bit more carefully.

If anyone wants to get together on the 5, 6, or 7, let me know. I have started a thread in Community.

OK TransWorldOne, let's get this ball rolling (it may be only 2 of us). How about Monday the 5th early evening for drink or two--that's best for me but the 7th is also do-able. Where are you staying? I live here in Beijing, so it's probably easier for me to find you. You can send me PM or email.

Anybody else around to join us? If not, there will be other chances, count on it!

My plans have changed. I am not arriving now until late on 05MAY (my flight leaves SHA at 21:00). 07MAY would be great, though. jjejje, I'll PM you with my contact info.

That's too bad because I am leaving Tuesday and was, therefore, going to suggest happy hour tomorrow at Mexican Wave, Take 5, Blue Marine, or Schindlers (all have outdoor seating and are close to my office).

Lunch Tuesday is doable as well (but probably not as fun).

Moondog, when are you likely to be back in Beijing? (I'm assuming the Chinese will agree to let you back in, heh-heh) Why don't we have our real "do" as your Welcome Back party? As of now, my Monday afternoon activities are spilling over into the happy hour, and Tuesday is not feasible. Someday, I would like to meet the World Famous FT Moondog--and I'm sure I speak for others in the China subforum on that one.

I am not moving to Beijing until October, but will be in Bejing during the second week of June. If there is an interest to do another Beijing do that week, I'd be interested.

May also be in Beijing in mid June. Despite living in town for a year and a half, only met our man Moondog once and that was in 2005 when I was in Beijing for a mere 3 months. Would be happy to meet anyone in Beijing when I fly in for business next time though. Jie Jie? Others?

If I'm here I'm happy to party. However, there's a better than 50/50 chance that I'll be out of China for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th weeks of June. But back for the rest of the summer. Keep touching base.
