China flights - confusing
I'm having a heck of a time figuring out flights in China. Between mainland China cities Ctrip generally seems ok, but . . .
1. I'm considering flying into PVG on an award and then connecting on to KWL. There seems to be an early evening flight on MU with plenty of time to connect. But nothing after May shows on up on this route (to either Shanghai airport) on MU's website, as if either the flight has been canceled or inventory not loaded. CTrip has it, though. Safe to book?
2. I might need a flight from XIY to HKG. Ctrip and eLong don't do HKG, do they? Dragonair's website doesn't seem to let you do a oneway from XIY - it doesn't appear in the "from" drop-down menu though they clearly fly there. I see it on Expedia and Zuji (a new one for me). In fact, Zuji shows multiple carriers having nonstops, including MU, but Expedia doesn't show any of the nonstops other than KA. Where is the best place to search fares and book routes between HKG and mainland China?
Thanks - Charlie

1. It's safe, but no need to book it now. Few people book flights this early, and the best fares won't come out this early. Wait until late March or so.
2. You can book XIY-HKG on ctrip.com; but only on its Chinese language side. You can call their US toll free number (800) 820-6666 if you can't use the Chinese site.
