Beijing Hotel Advice

We are a family of three visiting Beijing over the dates of Wednesday Nov 24th - Monday 30th. It is our first time to Beijing but not to China. We want to stay central to much of the things to see and do with easy access to transportation. Our main purpose for going is to have custom clothes made, see the main sights and be somewhat pampered. We are travelling with our 7 year old son.

I am Hilton Gold and Marriott silver but have no other status.

Here are our hotel choices and prices for all 6 nights:

1. Fairmont $864
2. Sofitel Wanda $835
3. Hilton $1,500 (i'm sure I get this cheaper through expedia than hilton)
4. Red Wall Garden (boutique hotel) - $883
5. JW Marriott $917

Can anyone opine on which is better and why.

Cross-posting is not allowed. Please follow your existing discussion, and of course please see the threads in the hotel chain fora. FlyerTalk is not a travel agency; it's a community where we exchange information (and honor those who have taken the time and effort to post information and personal experience).
