PVG terminal question

When I depart Shanghai (PVG), after I clear China Customs and Immigration, check in for my flight, clear security, and all that, is it possible, and allowed, to walk between terminal two and terminal one so that I can visit the various airline clubs that I am a member of?

But... if I am willing to make the walk, can it physically and legally be done?

You seem to have the order wrong. You first check in, then do security and outgoing passport control, with additional security at the gate (hand search for liquids in the jetway) for USA-bound flights.

I have been to quite a few clubs (*A and OW) at PVG and they are not worth hopping around for

Once you are airside you cannot get from one terminal to another.

Terminal 1 is primarily a hub for China Eastern Airlines and domestic airlines. The exception is a few Skyteam partners (Air France, JAL) are also located in Terminal one.

Terminal 1 is older than Terminal 2. There is NOTHING nice and comfortable about Terminal 1.

As others have mentioned, they are located on opposite sides of each other and are not connected airside.

While I admit that 2 is marginally nicer than 1, they both suck.

Reason being...lack of creativity. Beautiful shell, with nothing inside.

The landside Chinese dim sum breakfast at T1 is still better than T2, if you have an early morning arrival.

Even if you're physically very fit, I doubt you could make it all the way to T2 before the security guards catch up with you and arrest you
