PVG - PRG in August

Our family, four of us, need to buy a cheap economy return ticket from PVG to PRG (Prague).

I've checked on http://matrix.itasoftware.com and a cheap fare on ChinaSouthern (actaully operated by KLM) is there--but I'm not sure where I can book it. Skyscanner does not find it. Booking the same flights on KLM.com costs more.

Any suggestions on how to book this?

Any suggestions on how to get cheaper tickets?

I start out using qunar and kayak to get a feel for the market, but usually end up going with Expedia.

I see my malaysian friend use qunar.com alot for china travels.

Too bad my chinese skills is almost non-existent. Maybe I should go back and re-learn chinese from pre-school.

I assume you are in Shanghai (or China) now? Take down the detailed fare construction of the flights you want on matrix.itasoftware. Go to a China Southern office, or the office of a local travel agent, and just have them punch it up and do the etickets. Should be replicatable. Looks like it is in the RMB 6100 range, all in. I doubt you will do better than that for a round-trip in August.

Be old-fashioned for a change. Sometimes technology costs us time and angst rather than saves us.

I've heard they can be pretty inexpensive.

A couple of years ago heard Czech spoken at BKK

Turns out a couple of Czech backpackers scored cheap ticket on Aeroflot, and came for a Thai holiday. Perhaps works in reverse - well, sort of, ex China.
