PVG Questions

Hello,

I am looking for confirmation to a couple of questions before I hit the button on a booking.

We are coming into PVG on the BA0169 scheduled at 0925. Then on to HKG.

It will be on a separate ticket. I have the choice of the: -

KA803 - 1120

or

CX367 - 1220

Minimum connecting time is listed as 120 minutes. The first option is 5 mins inside this duration. What is the likelihood of making that connection?

On the visa front I understand that no visa will be required for that connection. On the return we will be on the KA0894 @ 1900 HKG to PVG then out on the BA flight in the morning at 1055. Is it the same for that connection?

Lastly... is the Ramada at the airport any good for a night?

Thanks in advance,

Kernow

Wirelessly posted (iPhone 4: Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.3.6; en-gb; GT-I9210 Build/GINGERBREAD) AppleWebKit/533.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/533.1)

as I understood pvg cannot check though the luggage and the well known delay issue of China I would suggest the later flight, in addition more buffer if you met any clueless immigration officer.

note that with cx you have much beret chance of getting long haul product if that's your concern. pvg checkin normally can move your flight ahead of schedule without too much drama.

for the reverse direction you should only be able to check in the luggage the following morning. Ramada provides free shuttle as I know but its totally in the middle odd no where. its crew hotel for cx and ka so you might actually run into someone just served you on flight.
