Good spot for relaxation

Going to be in China for a couple weeks in end of April/beginning of May. Mrs. FDw has requested a good spot for relaxation; probably 2-3 nights... Goal is to hang out by the pool, enjoy a hot tub, get massages etc... don't want to be bothered by doing too much.. maybe a bike ride or a boat ride or something... willbe spending bulk of time in Shanghai or Beijing.. any thoughts? Hangzhou? Ningbo?

thanks
FDW

Sanya and Gulin are nice too!
If you want somewhere nice to stay an relax, the Banyan Tree Resorts in China are great!

Mogashan near shanghai seems nice.
Supposed to be a 2-3 hr drive from Shanghai.
It is a mountain resort area.
Always wanted to go there

The way I read the OP, his goal is to escape from the lands of 5-star hotels.
