Question Visa Question

I just booked a flight for Tuesday the 1st of March and was wondering if anyone could help answer my question...

I am a South African citizen and have a green card. I am flying SFO - BJS - HKG - JNB and have a 2 hour layover in each city. Because I am flying from BJS to HKG would I need a visa? I am not planning on going into the city so I would be in transit in all places.

Thanks!

You will not need a visa as you do not intend to stay in Beijing for longer than 24 hours. However, you will need to go through the special "International Transit" lane at passport control, presenting your onward boarding document to get stamped through.

HKG has proper airside transit and won't be an issue at all. Even if you wanted to leave the airport, you should be able to get a 1-month on arrival according to TIMATIC.
