I had assumed, given the commentary about "SWAT," that the OP was referring to a group of agents garbed like the NYPD Hercules teams - visible body armor, helmets, BDUs, automatic weapons, etc.

Several of us concluded (a few posts into the thread) that that was not the case. We never got any further clarification.

C'mon. Give the poor FLEO's a break. They were the "best of the best" when the got accepted to FLETC. (Not to be confused with the FBI, which are the "best of the best of the best").

95% of their time, they sit around boringly stamping pasports and making small talk with tourists. On a lucky day they'll get to open an old lady's suitcase and search through her undies. Maybe they'll get to peer through a businessman's spreadsheets on his laptop...

They don't even get free lunches or donuts like real cops.

If they want to dress up and play bad a$s every once in a while, who's to blame them?
