Rep Madison Cawthorn brings loaded gun through CLT security

This is apparently the SECOND time in just over a year he has been caught with a loaded weapon going through airport security.
Are there any specific/mandatory penalties from TSA for repeat offenses like this?

Exclamation Moderator's Note:

Please confine the discussion in the Checkpoints and Borders Policy Debate forum to the TSA gun screening procedures and protocols as they relate to this incident and whether there are required penalties for repeat offenders.

All other comments belong in the "Madison Cawthorn, the future of the GOP?" thread in OMNI/PR.

Thank you for your anticipated cooperation,

Madison Cawthorn Again Brought a Loaded Gun to the Airport, Officials Say
The situation recalled a previous encounter between airport security agents and Mr. Cawthorn in February 2021, when officials said that he tried to bring a loaded Glock pistol through a checkpoint at Asheville Regional Airport in North Carolina.

Mr. Cawthorn was fined over that potential breach, Mark Howell, a T.S.A. spokesman, said on Tuesday. The agency does not disclose individual fine amounts, he said. The civil penalties for trying to bring a gun through airport security average about $2,000 for an unloaded gun and $4,000 for a loaded one, with a maximum fine of $13,900, according to the T.S.A.

Given it is a second offense hopefully the TSA gives the repeat perp the maximum fine.

I would think the penalty should be equal to what others would receive under the same circumstances. No special treatment.

Wow! He have pay a big fined from TSA. He cannot bring a gun at security. It's not permitted! He must place a gun in the checked bag instead or leave a gun at home. He should known better! He won't learn his lesson.
