June 5 security breach at den

Someon just walked past an unmanned wtmd at Denver. He was proudly waving at the people in line while doing so.
TSA yelled at him as he was descending the escalator.
Everything is at a standstill now.

"My wife and I were waiting to drop our bags into the X-ray machine and go through the detector, and I heard a TSA agent scream 'Shut it down, shut it down, shut it down!' Everyone was looking around, confused, and people were ordered to 'Clear out now!'" the AP's John L. Mone said.

It's shift change and they are all just standing around waiting to start their shifts. It's part of their training. It's a staff pep talk. They're on break and can't think of anywhere they'd rather take a break than standing at the checkpoint, distracting their co-workers.

: “Officers may be on break, training, in the middle of a shift change/briefing, or on any number of security assignments.” Or gossiping, or texting or checking their FB accounts.
BTW, here's TSA's newest response to questions about screeners standing around:

Unlike the 95% of cases where they miss prohibited items, or the millions of times when they confiscate items on the logic that "it might be a bomb" but then treat those items as completely harmless.
