Interesting read, it seems that if nothing has changed you can completely skip immigration if your flight to a destination within the CTA is at the 200 gates. I imagine this could pose a problem for those who need a stamp and recorded entry but unintentionally skip immigration.

Pretty interesting, I'll try doing US-DUB-UK sometime next year and see if I can sneak in unchecked.

No breach of security - in (most of?) the EU, the US security is deemed safe and reliable (yes, really!), so there is no extra security on landing and transferring airside within the EU (with the notable excption of the hell commonly known as LHR and maybe others)

Immigration breach - hard to say, depends who checked the passport in NYC. IF the Irish has some immigration officers there, might be perfectly OK.
