When I use JFK as my US port of entry this quarter, any GE/APC/printed customs declaration form I have is taken from me before I get to the baggage claim, and so I have no declaration form to show after claiming bags or when otherwise exiting the baggage hall.

At most other US airports of entry, I’m still in possession of the declaration printout/form in the baggage hall and am required to surrender the declaration papers there.
