At Least The TSA is Consistent About ONE Thing.

Rock-bottom for another year:

This year, NASA repeated as the No. 1 agency and improved its score despite governmentwide morale hitting its lowest point in a decade. The Department of Homeland Security, a perennial bottom-dweller in the rankings, finished at the bottom again and showed further declines.
Lest I paint the TSA with the broad-brush of DHS incompetence, here they are standing on their own:

They finished in 281st place (out of 300 subagencies).

Yep, they consistently stink.

"Mission:
To protect the nation's transportation systems to ensure freedom of movement for people and commerce."

Even their mission statement reeks. The word "freedom" should never be associated with TSA, other than with the words "restricting", "harming", "limiting", "taking a dump on", etc.

Time to eradicate this chronic disease of an agency.

I guess it should be no surprise at the continuous downward trend starting in 2010.

I wonder if Jeh Johnson saw the results of this survey before he agreed to take the job.

Seriously, that DHS is an unhappy place to work, and getting worse, should be no surprise. They made wholesale mistakes in hiring when they stood themselves up, and they remain saddled with some of the most inept "leadership" in the federal government. The atmosphere there is so toxic that their SES ranks are a revolving door.
