Only Pistole could claim as a success a process that (by his own numbers) fails 98.7% of the time.

I haven't heard that a single stop by a BDO resulted in the capture/arrest of a terrorist intending harm to the flight.

Therefore, it fails 100% of the time, and any captures/arrests made have been outside the scope of the SPOTniks.

He calls interrogation, intimidation, and "referrals" to cops without reasonable suspicion as "non-invasive."

Good news, the on-line poll right now shows 64% strongly disagreeing and another 11% disagreeing.

Don't forget the scumbag employees who actually "implement" that nonsense.

And not one of those people were a terrorist threat. But they've caught illegal aliens, people with drugs, etc. without the pesky burden of Reasonable Suspicion and Probable Cause, so at least we have that going for us.

So, John, just exactly how does having your employees wander around looking for microexpressions improve the dismal Red Team failure rates?

When one feels one has to defend something that so many others disagree with, one is coming from a position of weakness. His agency, and this program in particular, are under attack from all sides, so all he can do is try to defend, as lame as that defense may be.

Mr. Rapiscan Michael Chertoff chimes in on the NSA, early detection of threats, etc. in USA Today this week as well.

...Unfortunately, only in movies is an imminent attack required for a program to be successful. In real life, we define success by also stopping threats early in the process...
He's still peddling fear and missing the point.

Who care about that? You can't say that. It is not acceptable for your behavior. You can't be upset with TSA again.

I'm not sure what you are trying to say here.
Why wouldn't he be allowed to say that or be upset?
The whole program is a bunch of nonsense.

1) If SPOT program works LAX would have never happened.

2) what does SPOT have to do with Precheck? BDO's dont decide who gets to go through Pre check screening
