Some people get upset very easily by taking something as being more serious and pointed than it really is. This seems to be yet another example of an overreaction to a harmless communication printed on a t-shirt.

By the way, which airline was he flying when this happened? Qantas. Not exactly surprised given it's the flag carrier of a country that has willfully bought into the WOT nonsense and even been blacklisting its own citizens from getting passports despite no trial and conviction of the Australian citizens it blacklists for international travel purposes.

Right country, but that's not the reason... (Not remotely.)

Australia hang your head in shame - out-boganned by a Kiwi in a cheap t-shirt.

Hey, that's no reason to ruin a perfectly good but totally ill-informed rant!

^^

I think someone else here doesn't know that the line about Australia was from the same movie too.

Let's not interrupt the rants, informed or otherwise.

Someone does, but someone isn't much of a fan of american movies/ tv/ entertainment in general and the inaccuracies that they puke, which are then swallowed as fact by their intended audiences.

Which inaccuracies are seriously presented in this thread?

I have seen no evidence of such here.

At the risk of disturbing a light-hearted review of Princess Bride quotes with actual serious politics, I assumed BB was referring to your statement in post #2 that Australia has "even been blacklisting its own citizens from getting passports despite no trial and conviction of the Australian citizens it blacklists for international travel purposes."

Care to elaborate?

You be careful. People in masks cannot be trusted.

Sure. Here is an example: US NSA tells some Australian government officials in Canberra to get on board to stop or slow down some Australian citizens who have some travel plans the US doesn't like and the Australian governments get in on revoking, denying or delaying passports to some such Australian citizens identified by the US.

The numbers are down substantially (not for the reason suggested in the article linked below), but this stuff is still going on:
