Hope they castrate the guy if found guilty. :td: "Something suspicious going on with your resistance, dude, we have to size up the situation and decide how to handle it. Step this way please" (snapping of blue gloves). |
So....touch a young boy at a checkpoint, and it's national security.
Touch a young boy somewhere else and it's illegal. Hmmmm.... (Yes, I realize the rape charge means something other than touching happened, but my point still stands) |
How is something like this even possible for someone with the highest ethical standards who was conducting himself with integrity???

TSO Paul Magnuson arrested for 'rape of young boy' he was mentoring thru Big Brothers
An update from the MailOnline website:
The Daily Mail: TSA agent arrested over 'rape of young boy' he was mentoring through Big Brothers Big Sisters program PUBLISHED: 18:14 EST, 1 November 2012 UPDATED: 18:24 EST, 1 November 2012 A short quote: Paul Magnuson, who recently worked as a transportation security inspector for the TSA and was returning to America after working on a job in Frankfurt, Germany, was arrested in the international airport in Newark, New Jersey. and MailOnline spoke with TSA spokesman David Castleveter who said that Magnuson was fired as a result of the arrest. ‘TSA is aware of the allegations against the former Cleveland-based employee and continues to cooperate with investigative authorities,’ Castleveter said. ‘TSA holds its employees to the highest ethical standards and expects all employees to conduct themselves with integrity and professionalism and takes appropriate action when allegations are substantiated.’ |

OK, now I'm confused.
One of our (reliable) resident TSOs has mentioned in recent posts the extreme difficulties in firing TSA employees for misconduct. So isn't it a bit disingenuous for a TSA spokesman to say that Magnuson was 'fired' when IIRC, Magnuson has 7 days to appeal the firing and longer if the union comes to back him up (TSA's new excuse for not being able to fire anyone - the union won't allow it). So he can't possibly have been really fired - maybe the process has been initiated, maybe he will be given an opportunity to 'resign'. It also brings up another question: does TSA fire someone (Magnuson) based solely on suspicion of wrong-doing? Magnuson has been arrested, but he has not yet had his day in court. We have no way of knowing at this time whether or not he will be found guilty. If he is found innocent, will TSA then reinstate him with back pay? Will he be able to sue TSA for firing him and collect $$$ of taxpayers' money in settlement? |

Don't forget - TSA employees deserve the same presumption of innocence that they afford the traveling public. @:-)

So, why is TSA sending their employees to Germany?
9. Don't have to register as sex offenders there. 8. Need to install backscatter machines in the holes in the Berlin Wall, out of an abundance of caution. 7. 6. 5. 4. 3. 2. 1. Okay, I need some help here. |

Not that it makes any difference, but this scumbag was not a TSO. He was an inspector like this dolt http://www.aero-news.net/index.cfm?d...2-944325cea23d There are several things that you can be fired outright for. The appeal, if there is one, is on the checklist with turning in your uniforms. Also, these employees are not covered by the union.
